Wish List

SizaBantwana Wish List

  • School uniforms.  A full uniform set cost R300; we need school uniforms for 38 children.
  • We need 5 additional laptop computers for our Reading Power Program. This will enable us to facilitate a further 50 children on the English reading skill improvement programme. Many children struggle to read, this is an excellent programme to improve their reading skills.
  • Books; story books aimed at Primary School level.
  • Blankets – always a big need – especially in child headed homes. The winters can get very cold, even in the Lowveld.
  • Brush cutter (petrol driven) to cut the grass at three of the care centres.
  • A bakkie (half ton pick-up) something like a Corsa or Bantam.
  • Bicycles for care workers (8); some of them have to walk long distances.  We also started a “bicycles for fun” programme, where children can enjoy riding and learn how to service and maintain a bicycle.
  • Steel tables; 5 urgently needed and twenty strong plastic chairs.
  • Steel double door filing cabinet * 2.
  • Chest deep freeze (medium size).
  • Puzzles, toys, and “hoola, hoops” are very popular.
  • Toiletries, particular toothbrushes and toothpaste; also bath soap, facecloths and deodorant.
  • Last but not the least: MONEY is always welcome to enable us to bring hope to children in a hopeless situation.
